Waking to See Christ’s Glory in Our Everyday Life — Spurgeon

This is an excerpt from one of Charles Spurgeon’s sermons titled “Waking to See Christ’s Glory.” I have decided to share it here and I hope it has an edifying effect on and in you. I pray that the Holy Spirit will use this to bring many to a saving knowledge of our need to be always awake and alert in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

And it came to pass…, [Jesus] took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: Who appeared in glory, and spoke of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him. (Luke 9:28-32)

Dear Friends, let me impress upon your minds the truth that, in order to see the glory of Christ, it is necessary that we should be fully awake.
